My brother is straight edge and I was for a while.  It is when you don't
ingest anything that is harmful to your body including meat or any animal
by-products, you don't smoke, do drugs (of any kind, even caffiene) and
for the most part you do not swear.  It's an attitude,  you also try to be
as non judgmental as you can.  MY $0.02.
